Okay, so Painter and I made up. <3
The focus of this piece was supposed to be more on the waves, but I do love those little guys. I probably should have made their shadows longer, 'cause they look legless. I dunno know what all the water-themed stuff's about lately. I don't even live near any (not counting the Great Lakes) Painter Classic. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. Really prettyful. ^^ I heard Artrage [link] is a great program for digital painting as well.
you're right, you could've made the shadows longer, especially for their legs. and maybe the highlights on their bodies are a bit too even for that kind of dramatic lighting (given that you wanted to make their shadows longer to create shades for the legs, which means that the light source should be horizontally lower).
but as a composition, i love it.

Whatever you do, don't look stupid doing it.
However, I don't like the texture you've added to the waves (brain coral?). To me, it seems to disrupt the flow of the image. I think it'd be just fine without it.
It's a very nice piece either way. Well done!
